Athletics 11, Twins 7: Coco Crisp belted a three-run homer to highlight a six-run second inning as host Oakland celebrated its second straight American League West title with a triumphant victory.

Daric Barton homered among his three hits and Jed Lowrie also went deep for the Athletics, who clinched the division title earlier in the day after second-place Texas dropped a 4-0 decision to Kansas City.

Oswaldo Arcia homered among his three hits and drove in a career-high six runs in a losing effort. Sonny Gray (4-3) allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings to pick up the win.

After Eric Sogard's two-run single gave Oakland a 2-1 advantage, Crisp deposited a 1-2 slider from Cole De Vries (0-1) over the wall in right field for his 22nd homer - and third in his last four games. Josh Donaldson added an RBI double to cap the six-run frame and the Athletics were on their way to their 18th win in 23 contests.

Barton countered Arcia's three-run blast in the third with a solo shot in the bottom of the frame. Oakland tallied single runs in each of the next four innings to send reeling Minnesota to its 14th loss in 18 outings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Oakland has scored 65 runs en route to winning its last six contests versus Minnesota. ... Crisp, who also had an RBI single in the seventh, became the 10th player in franchise history to record at least 20 homers and as many stolen bases in a season when he took a free base in the sixth. ... De Vries, who has yielded five homers in his last three outings (10 innings), permitted six runs on four hits in two frames. ... The Athletics, who will hit the road for the final six games of the season, begin a three-game set against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday. Minnesota finishes its season at home, opening a three-game set with Detroit before wrapping up the campaign with a four-game series versus Cleveland.
