Braves 9, Marlins 4:
B.J. Upton drove in the go-ahead run and Freddie Freeman hit a three-run homer as Atlanta bounced back to take the rubber game from visiting Miami.

Jason Heyward went 4-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored while Chris Johnson doubled in a pair for the Braves, who had their 14-game winning streak come to an end with a 1-0 loss to the Marlins on Saturday. Mike Minor (12-5) allowed four runs and six hits in seven innings to pick up the win for Atlanta, which owns a 14 1/2-game lead in the National League East.

Henderson Alvarez helped give himself a 3-0 lead with a two-run double in the second but ended up yielding four runs in six frames. Dan Jennings (1-3) started the seventh and allowed the first two batters to reach as Miami suffered its seventh loss in eight games.

The Braves got on the board on Dan Uggla’s sacrifice fly in the second and took the lead when Freeman drove a 3-1 fastball the opposite way into the front row in left-center field.

The Marlins forged a tie in the sixth, but Upton’s sacrifice fly in the seventh off A.J. Ramos put Atlanta back in front. Evan Gattis chipped in an RBI double and Johnson’s two-base hit over Giancarlo Stanton’s head in right pushed across two more to cap the four-run rally.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Braves LF Justin Upton left the game in the fifth inning with a left hamstring cramp. He was replaced by his brother, B.J. Upton. … Atlanta activated C Gerald Laird (kidney stone) from the 15-day disabled list and optioned OF Todd Cunningham to Triple-A Gwinnett. … Miami rookie LF Christian Yelich went 0-for-4 to snap his 10-game hitting streak.
