Marlins 3, Diamondbacks 2: Giancarlo Stanton hit his second home run of the game with one out in the ninth inning as visiting Miami rallied to win the opener of the three-game series.
Juan Pierre extended his hitting streak to 13 games - and ended Patrick Corbin's no-hit bid - with a single in the sixth for the Marlins, who have won three of their last four contests.
After erasing a 2-0 deficit with a two-run blast in the sixth inning, Stanton deposited a 1-2 offering from Heath Bell (2-1) over the right-field wall to put Miami ahead. Stanton has four home runs and 10 RBIs during his seven-game hitting streak.
Stanton's second homer made a winner of Mike Dunn (2-1), who allowed a hit and a walk in a scoreless eighth inning. Steve Cishek worked a perfect ninth for his 10th save in 12 opportunities.
Paul Goldschmidt homered and drove in both runs for the Diamondbacks, who have lost seven of nine. Goldschmidt finished 2-for-3 after going 3-for-33 over his previous eight games.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Corbin surrendered two runs and two hits with a walk and seven strikeouts in eight innings. The left-hander still has a chance to become the first pitcher in franchise history to begin a season 10-0. ... Miami starter Jacob Turner lasted five innings, allowing two runs and six hits. ... Marlins 1B Logan Morrison returned to the lineup after missing three games with a sore back and went 0-for-4.
