Pirates 8, Brewers 2:
Jose Tabata’s bases-clearing double capped a six-run third inning and the visiting Pirates moved above .500 for the first time since April 8.

Josh Harrison and Andrew McCutchen opened the inning with back-to-back triples for Pittsburgh, which sent 10 batters to the plate against Randy Wolf (2-5).

Kevin Correia (2-5) allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings to win for the first time in his last eight starts.

Nyjer Morgan homered off Correia in the first inning for his first RBI in 138 plate appearances, breaking the major-league record of 131 set by Herb Adams in 1950. Brewers first baseman Corey Hart led off the sixth with his 11th home run.

Tabata went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a stolen base for the Pirates, who won at Miller Park for just the seventh time in their last 50 games.

Pittsburgh, which entered the game ranked last in the National League in runs scored and batting average, tied a season high with 13 hits.

Ryan Braun, who missed Thursday’s game with Achilles tightness, went 1-for-3 before leaving the game after six innings with a right hip strain.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Pittsburgh has won six of its last seven games and is 9-5 in its last 14 games. … The loss snapped the Brewers’ season-high four-game win streak. … Pirates 1B Matt Hague has hit safely in all seven games since being promoted from Triple-A Indianapolis on May 25. … Brewers IF Brooks Conrad is 0-for-27 this season after going hitless in four at-bats with two strikeouts. … Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks was scratched due to illness.
