Aubrey Huff drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh inning to lift the San Francisco Giants to a 2-1 win over the host Washington Nationals on Saturday.

Washington starter and loser John Lannan (2-3) allowed six hits in 6 2/3 innings and allowed three walks, including the critical one to Huff which pushed home Miguel Tejada with the go-ahead run.

The Nationals scored first on Rick Ankiel's single to shallow center field in the second. The Giants answered in the third when catcher Eli Whiteside hit his first homer of the season to left field.

San Francisco starter Jonathan Sanchez struggled with control early and walked a season-high six batters, but settled down and pitched five innings before being relieved by Guillermo Mota (2-0).

Brian Wilson pitched the ninth inning and earned his eighth save despite loading the bases with two walks and a hit batsman. He struck out Adam LaRoche to end the game.
