Rick Ankiel’s grand slam, his third home run in two games, lifted Washington to its fourth straight win, a 9-3 come-from-behind win against Atlanta on Tuesday at Nationals Park.

Atlanta led 3-2 in the fourth inning when Ankiel belted his sixth homer to deep center field against Derek Lowe (6-10), who allowed eight runs (seven earned) in four innings. It was the third straight loss for Lowe and his fourth loss in five starts.

Washington’s John Lannan earned his eighth career victory against the Braves, the second most by any pitcher since 2005. Lannan (8-7) allowed three runs in 6 2/3 innings and struck out eight, but left after throwing 110 pitches.

Michael Morse added his 18th home run and Ian Desmond hit his fourth homer for the Nationals.

Atlanta’s Dan Uggla extended his hitting streak to 24 games with a single in the fifth inning.
