Adrian Gonzalez belted a home run in the seventh inning to spoil Cole Hamels' no-hit bid and added another solo shot in the ninth as the San Diego Padres recorded a 3-1 triumph over the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday.

Wade LeBlanc tossed seven shutout innings and Scott Hairston also homered for National League-leading San Diego (34-23), which won for the 10th time in its last 15 games.

LeBlanc (3-4) scattered four hits and retired the final 14 batters he faced to snap a personal four-game losing skid.

The 25-year-old left-hander also matched a career-high by pitching seven innings in his 23rd career start.

Luke Gregerson retired the side in the eighth and Heath Bell allowed an RBI double to Ryan Howard in the ninth before securing his 16th save of the season.

Pitching against his hometown team, Hamels (5-5) allowed only a pair of walks before Gonzalez ended his no-hit bid with one out in the seventh.

The 2008 World Series MVP allowed two runs and three hits while striking out six in eight innings for Philadelphia, which suffered its 11th loss in its last 15 games.
