Will Venable drove in three runs to lift the San Diego Padres to a 4-2 victory over the Florida Marlins on Sunday.

Chase Headley added an RBI for the Padres, who completed a three-game sweep of the Marlins and went 5-1 on their road swing through the state of Florida.

Headley had his RBI single in the first to give the Padres a 1-0 lead. Venable doubled the advantage with a sacrifice fly in the sixth.

Florida scored only three runs in the series but answered with a run in the sixth and another in the seventh to tie the game at 2-2. Emilio Bonifacio and Jorge Cantu each had an RBI for Florida.

Venable snapped the tie in the eighth with a two-run shot to right off of Brian Sanches (0-1), who gave up two runs and two hits in 2/3 of an inning.

Ryan Webb (3-1) allowed a run and three hits but picked up the win anyway for the Padres. Luke Gregerson continued his strong season out of the bullpen for San Diego, striking out two in ninth for his first save of the year.
