Jered Weaver outdueled Cliff Lee and four different players drove in a run for the Los Angeles Angels in Sunday’s 4-1 victory over the first-place Texas Rangers.

Alberto Callaspo, Mike Napoli, Juan Rivera and Howie Kendrick each finished with an RBI as the Angels took two-of-three in the series to remain eight games back of Texas in the American League West.

Weaver (10-7) allowed just one unearned run on four hits over seven innings. He struck out seven against three walks in snapping a personal two-game skid.

The Angels got to Lee early, building a 2-0 lead on a single by Callaspo and a fielder’s choice groundout by Napoli in the first before adding another run in the fourth.

Lee (9-5) was denied in his bid for the 100th victory of his career. The 31-year-old left-hander went the full eight innings and surrendered the four runs on nine hits.

Fernando Rodney set down the side in order and Brian Fuentes worked around a pair of base runners in the ninth for his 20th save.

Vladimir Guerrero doubled home Michael Young in the sixth for the Rangers’ lone run of the game.
