Vernon Wells had three hits, including a home run, as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Kansas City Royals, 4-3, on Tuesday.

Shawn Camp (1-0) got the win with 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of starter Dana Eveland, who went 5 1/3 solid innings and gave up three runs on eight hits.

Kevin Gregg worked the ninth for his fourth save.

Wells then continued his hot April with a solo home run in the fourth, his seventh of the season, to make it 3-2. Jose Bautista, who hit two homers in Monday's game, picked up an RBI with a single in the seventh that tied the game. Later, John Buck drove in the go-ahead run in the inning on an infield single that plated Lyle Overbay.

Kyle Davies (1-1) absorbed the loss for the Royals. He went 7 2/3 innings and allowed four runs on eight hits.

The Blue Jays opened the scoring on a sacrifice fly by Adam Lind in the bottom of the first. Kansas City came back with two runs in the second and one in the third to take a 3-1 lead.
