Francisco Liriano allowed three runs in seven innings to stay unbeaten and the Minnesota Twins defeated the Cleveland Indians, 8-3 on Sunday at Progressive Field.

Liriano (4-0) struck out nine, allowed eight hits and walked three. The left-hander's consecutive innings scoreless streak ended at 23 when the Indians scored twice in the first.

Orlando Hudson, Jim Thome and Delmon Young homered for the Twins, who had 20 hits.

The Twins played without catcher Joe Mauer, who bruised his left heel running the bases Friday, but on this day it didn't matter. Wilson Ramos, called up from Triple-Rochester before the game, was 4-for-5 in his major league debut. He had singles in the second and fourth and doubles in the sixth and ninth.

Ramos became the first Twins player to have four hits in his major league debut since Kirby Puckett in 1984.

Hudson's two-run blast gave the Twins a quick lead in the first. Thome and Young hit back-to-back homers in the fifth. Nick Punto had three RBIs with a two-run single in the seventh and a run-scoring single in the ninth.
