Carlos Quentin had another big day and the Chicago White Sox rolled to another victory with a 15-5 beating of the Kansas City Royals on Sunday to finish a three-game sweep.

Quentin hit a solo shot in Chicago's seven-run third inning and added a three-run blast to highlight a five-run sixth inning that gave the White Sox a 13-5 edge.

Alex Rios, Andruw Jones and Dayan Viciedo also homered for the White Sox, who enter the All-Star break having won eight straight and have a half-game lead in the American League Central Division over the Detroit Tigers.

Tony Pena (3-1) allowed three hits in three scoreless innings of relief to pick up the win for Chicago.

The White Sox got a big break before the game even started as Kansas City starter Zack Greinke was scratched due to soreness in his right shoulder.

The 2009 American League Cy Young Award winner was held out for precautionary reasons and is expected to start the first game back after the All-Star break against the Oakland Athletics on Friday. He had won four straight decisions and was beginning to look like the pitcher who won the Cy Young a year ago after starting the season 1-8.

Anthony Lerew (1-3) was thrust into the starting role to replace Greinke and was shelled. He allowed eight runs and nine hits in 2 2/3 innings and yielded four of Chicago's five homers.

Jose Guillen was 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs for the Royals.
